Dr Misty Adoniou is a Senior Lecturer in Language, Literacy and Teaching English as a Second Language at the University of Canberra. She occasionally presents workshops in schools on the teaching of spelling. She has a BEd, MEd (Hons) and PhD from the University of Canberra. Prior to becoming an academic, Misty was a primary school teacher in Canberra for eight years and worked on English language learning & assessment for the Greek Government in Athens.
